yOung women in construction

Our Transformative Foundation Programme is designed to support young women aged 16–25, particularly those who are NEET or at risk of becoming NEET, to explore exciting careers in construction, surveying, architecture, and construction management.

The programme combines practical academic development in Maths and English, life skills, and wellbeing support, all underpinned by mentoring and mental health services. Participants gain hands-on experience through trade tasters, industry placements, site visits, and project showcases, while also developing essential skills such as digital literacy, teamwork, problem-solving, and employability. By providing guidance, confidence-building, and exposure to professional role models, the programme creates a sustainable pathway into college, apprenticeships, and professional roles in the built environment, helping to promote diversity, inclusion, and long-term career opportunities for young women from underrepresented or disadvantaged backgrounds.
